Mt Cushionmania

Sorry I haven't posted in ages, I have been out cushioned if that is even a thing. I have now completed every single cushion cover in the world (not really just the orders!)I did all of the sewing in the holidays as they were very quiet. I have also recently ordered the inners for my cushions which should arrive soon!

Sewing!

I have done a lot of sewing in the last two weeks, most of it was sewing designs onto the fabric, but I also made four cushions! I was also thinking about what would appeal to people my age as my designs were more aimed at adults, so I decided that I would bring some geometric patterns into the mix, I think that this will bring more orders because us tweens do like our geometric patterns!

Spotlight Trip Three

Hi guys! We have a lot to catch up on! A couple of weeks ago a friend of my mum's told me about fabric glue, if I use this it will take a lot less time because I won't have to pin my embellishments onto the cushions. I went to spotlight to try and find this product and I thought that I had found the perfect one because it was in the form of a glue stick. But when I used it on one of my designs it didn't stick at all, and I spent about $20 on this product! I am very unhappy with this product and I am planning to refund it! Have you ever brought a faulty product?

Spotlight Trip Two

Hello! Today I went to Spotlight and had a look around. I bought 5 metres of calico fabric for 9.99 also with 40% off! I also bought four different types of trims to decorate my cushions! when I was at Spotlight I thought about having a new theme of black embellishments on calico. I am really happy that I got some fabric on sale as that will mean that I make more money for the SPCA. I have figured out the most cost effective way to cut my cushion pattern out of the fabric, and how I can reduce the waste of fabric.
I am ecstatic with the bargain I got with my fabric! I have put some photos of my ideas below so go check them out!

My Spreadsheet

Last night I made a spreadsheet to work out how much my profit would be if I sold n amount of cushions. My Mum and Dad guided me with this as I am quite inexperienced with spreadsheets. I have learn't a lot about spreadsheets and have enjoyed creating this spreadsheet.

My Second Cushion

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't posted in ages. I've done it! I have completed my second cushion! There was a lot of trial and error while making this cushion, but in the end it turned out pretty well. The cushion has a blue screen printed B on it, and on the back it has a zip with a flap covering it. Before I made this cushion I had to thread the bobbin with a different colour as I did not have the right colour bobbin. I am really happy with how this cushion turned out! Screen Printing

Last weekend I did some screen printing on my fabric to make a cushion! I have not yet sewn the cover but I am planning to do so this weekend. It took some trial end error to get the right print (I practised on paper). If you have any ideas for my cushions please comment below ⬇ , your ideas are appreciated.
